What began as a love of beachcombing has been turned into a unique jewelry business, with sea beans collected from around the world. In 2007, while living in Liberia, West Africa, we discovered that Sea Beans cover the beaches during the rainy season. With the help of Ken's assistant, Clarence Borbordee, and local village children, we acquired over 3000 sea beans that returned with us to America.
Sea beans are the seeds from various tropical plants and vines, and are famous for their beautiful outer shell and their innumerable shapes. Using the sea bean as the focal point, coupled with an eclectic combination of international beads, our necklaces become unique jewelry pieces unlike any other and give the wearer a sense of being attuned with the world around them.
